Meet the New Addition: Polycrystalline 300w Watts Solar Panels

Renogy has a brand new addition to their online store, and it will be the perfect addition to your home or commercial solar system! The 300w Polycrystalline Solar Panel is the largest panel (in watts) that Renogy-Store currently carries. While panels of this size are most typically considered to be solar panels for homes or businesses, these larger solar panels can also be stored and taken on the go. For example, if someone has storage room in their RV, they can store the panels until they reach an off-grid location. At the off-grid location, the user then removes the solar panel(s) from storage, places them on a mount toward the sun, and then connects the charge controller and panel to a battery. Taking the 300 watt panel on the go will allow travelers to recharge their batteries and enjoy a weekend off-grid adventure. Take Renogy on your next trip!

Even if you don’t own an RV or are not the outdoors type, maybe you also live in an area that experiences natural disasters such as severe snow storms, hurricanes, or tornadoes. After such disasters, electricity to the home is often disrupted for mere hours or even weeks. Purchasing a solar panel for this kind of weather situation can be a great safety precaution, and one that many do not consider. Store the large solar panel in the basement, closet, or attic until the power outage occurs and then remove it. During the daytime, place the panel outside at an angle toward the sun and connect both the panel and the charge controller to the battery. The sunlight will charge the battery, which in turn can power electronics during an electrical outage. Pretty useful, huh? Take a look at this great 300w panel below:
