Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day is the first Monday of September. School children think of this day as a free day away from school, the teachers, and the beginning of an ever-flowing amount of homework and school tasks. Many adults find the same comfort in Labor Day- that is, a day away from the work environment and a long weekend to spend with family and friends before the crisp breeze of fall blows in. What I remember most about Labor Day was that the pools were closing for the summer, homework was getting heavier, and the air was becoming cooler. Admittedly, I never really knew what Labor Day was about, at least not in any kind of historical context. So, this morning I decided to really “discover” what Labor Day actually is.

Labor Day came about as a day of dedication and remembrance to the bygone days of the American labor movements and the great achievements of American workers. While it is relatively unknown who actually proposed this great day, its purpose is far from. Labor Day is a day for reflection on the contributions by great American workers, past and present, who continue to make the United States a flourishing nation. Well, that is certainly something to think about!

So, this weekend, go out and enjoy that extra day off. Spend the weekend at the pool, camping, or at the lake before the cool days of fall take you by surprise. Charge Controllers: The Newest Addition to Renogy-Store

Charge controllers can be described in many ways. Some of these descriptions may include the words confusing, expensive, or difficult. Renogy knows that using a new charge controller can be all of these things, especially if you are a first time user, installing solar panels on your home or RV. Since the launch of Renogy-Store.com, Renogy has carried the 10amp PWM Charge Controller and the 30amp PWM Charge Controller, perfect for use with 100w to 250w solar panels. Renogy wanted to expand their selection of available charge controllers, and they did just that by introducing the MPPT 40amp Charge Controller, MPPT 20amp Charge Controller, and the 30amp PWM Charge Controller with LCD Display.

The MPPT 40amp and 20amp Charge Controllers utilize Maximum Power Point Tracking Technology, ensuring high peak conversion efficiency at 97% and high tracking efficiency at 99%. These charge controllers are offered with a 1 year warranty and are sure to be a great addition to any DIY solar project. The 30amp PWM Charge Controller with LCD Display has the same features as the original 30amp PWM Charge Controller, but also offers an LCD display screen to help guide its use. Overall, Renogy hopes that these new store additions will make it easier for customers to start a solar panel system.

Customer Project Share

One of our Renogy-Store customers was kind enough to send us a photo of their solar project with Renogy 100 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panels. Placed on the flat surface are four flat mounted solar panels. The customer complimented us, adding that the panels arrived quickly, and he did the installation himself. Overall, this customer was happy with his new purchase.

To clear up a common misconception, solar panels are typically flat mounted on the rooftop of an RV or boat and do not need to be angled toward the sun to provide power to a battery. While some customers may prefer to mount their panels permanently, others choose to keep the panels stored, and then take them out and place them on a ground mount when they reach their camping destination. Check out our 100 Watt Monocrystalline Panels at http://www.renogy-store.com/100-watt-panel-p/rng-100d.htm.
